Commercialisation

TMRI has a strong pipeline of intellectual property (IP) emerging from the first round of TMRC projects and our aim is to provide pharmaceutical and biotech companies with novel products that have the potential to be highly marketable. Translational Medicine programmes are granted funding with this objective in mind.

We seek to commercialise our IP after establishing proof-of-mechanism and/or proof-of-concept in a clinical setting, thereby validating potential and discharging a significant proportion of the risk associated with early drug development.

We are always interested in talking to prospective commercial partners about our current programmes and the ways in which we can help to provide access to the best Translational Medicine-related intellectual property from the leading research institutions in Scotland.
